Volunteerism

Sharing Success with our communities is about more than money. Our guiding principle Wîtaskêwin refers to sharing our time and effort as well as our material resources.

Our employee-driven volunteer program each year sees more than 30 per cent of our employees invest thousands of hours to make our communities better and more vibrant places to live, work and play.

All our sites and head office have volunteer committees. Among our community investment initiatives is our annual SIGA Day of Sharing that sees all our locations undertake special projects tailored to improve circumstances in their home communities. They also work to bolster the impact of our sponsorship and scholarship programs and recommend their own favourite causes for our volunteering efforts.

Some of the projects we’ve rolled up our sleeves and lent a helping hand to include the Heart & Stroke Foundation Big Bike, Earth Day Clean Up, Saskatoon Food Bank’s Garden Patch, St. Mary’s Community Christmas Dinner, various projects at the White Buffalo Youth Lodge. We’re proud to be Sharing Success and building community in these and many other ways.
